Blake is a founding partner of the law firm of Murray, Ziel, & Johnston, PLLC practicing primarily in the areas of family law, estate planning, probate and business law.

After graduating from law school in 2009, Blake started the law firm of Blake M. Murray, P.A. as a solo practitioner. Then in 2014, Paul Ziel joined the practice and Murray & Ziel, PLLC began. Then in 2016, Alan Johnston joined the practice and Murray, Ziel & Johnston, PLLC was formed. Blake considers himself lucky to have very talented and capable law partners and friends.

Blake is a native to Idaho Falls and grew up in the Ammon area and attended Hillcrest High School. Following High School, Blake served an LDS mission in the Texas, McAllen mission, where he learned to speak Spanish. Following his mission, Blake attended Brigham Young University – Idaho, where he obtained a bachelors degree in business management, with an emphasis in finance. More notably, while attending BYU-Idaho, Blake met and married his beautiful wife and together they have been blessed with five amazing children.

Following his undergraduate studies, Blake obtained his law degree from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While in law school, Blake participated in the school’s moot court program and competed in Washington, DC. Additionally, during his time at Washburn, Blake served as an ambassador to the law school as well as the president of the Washburn chapter of the J.Reuben Clark Law Society.

Since graduating from Law School, Blake has served as the treasurer, vice president, and president of the Eagle Rock Inns of Court in Idaho Falls. Additionally, Blake volunteers his time representing Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in child protection cases.

On a more personal note, Blake’s hobbies include spending time with his wife and kids, riding dirt bikes, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. Blake loves living and serving the community where he grew up and looks forward to a long career in Southeast Idaho.
